Cheerleading is not sport? are you serious i hear that everyday,so let me ask you this what is the definition of a sport? "Sport-An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others." We cheer every game for our basketball players and that right there is physical exertion.We compete against others during competition.We work so hard every single day people that think cheerleading is "so easy" but they don't realize that its that easy when you try it.We lift people not weights.People don't think its a sport because we don't use balls or manipulate objects, but that's the hardest thing about it we don't run down a field with a ball in our hands, we don't throw a ball into a hoop we don't kick a ball down the field we have people in our hands.We tumble,we jump, we cheer. we use ourselves to compete in this sport.
